Diederik Schrijvershof and Bas van Os assisted Colbe in obtaining approval from the Dutch Healthcare Authority (‘NZa’) and the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (‘ACM’) for the acquisition of Aquilum.
Colbe consists of a group of companies active in the field of occupational health and work-related well-being. Colbe provides services in the area of absenteeism support, ranging from occupational health and safety services to reintegration in complex cases. In addition, Colbe provides employee assistance services, such as mental and medical interventions and career development. Through corporate wellbeing, Colbe offers strategic support for cultural change and leadership development, with the aim of creating a resilient organization. Colbe is active throughout the Netherlands with more than 40 locations.
Aquilum is an occupational health and safety provider that offers occupational health and safety services. Aquilum supports employers and employees in sustainable employability. To this end, it focuses on prevention, reintegration, absenteeism, occupational health advice, guidance in the event of incapacity for work, and the promotion of sustainable labor participation and employability. Aquilum has consultation locations throughout the Netherlands.
The acquisition was reported to the NZa on December 23, 2025, and approved by the NZa on January 16. On January 22, 2026, a notification was filed with the ACM. The ACM granted approval for the acquisition on February 10, 2026. If you would like to learn more about the transaction, see here.
