Martijn van de Hel and Mats Reijman successfully assisted Value Enhancement Partners B.V. (VEP) in obtaining approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for the acquisition of VAB Participatie B.V and VAB Volendam Lease B.V. (VAB).
VEP is an independent investment company based in the Netherlands. Through its funds, VEP has interests in various companies operating in different sectors and mainly based in the Netherlands.
VAB is active in the construction industry in the field of finishing works. This includes interior finishing, sustainability of building materials, plastering and spraying, insulation, tiling, cast and coated floors, and painting for both new construction and renovation, and for private and business customers.
The acquisition was reported to the ACM on 30 January 2026. The transaction was approved on 17 February 2026.
