Martijn van de Hel, Paul Breithaupt and Saskia Stolk have successfully assisted Mutares SE & Co. KgaA (Mutares) in obtaining approval from the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for the acquisition of Kawneer U.K. Limited, Kawneer France S.A.S. and Arconic Holding B.V. (Kawneer EU) and for the acquisition of HYVA’s business unit cranes.
Mutares is an internationally operating investment company that focuses on acquiring interests in large and medium-sized companies that originate from a carve-out or are in a turnaround situation.
Kawneer EU is a designer, manufacturer, supplier and distributor of aluminium façade elements (for window frames and curtain walls) in the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom.
HYVA is a manufacturer and supplier of cranes. These include truck-mounted cranes, mobile cranes and marine cranes.
The acquisition of HYVA cranes was notified to the ACM on 12 August 2025. The ACM approved the transaction on 26 September 2025. The acquisition was notified tot the ACM on 2 September 2025. The ACM has approved the transaction on 22 September 2025.
