Maverick Advocaten assists Mediq and Eurocept in ACM second phase investigation

Diederik Schrijvershof and Leah Peeters are assisting Mediq, Eurocept Homecare and Excellent Clinics in obtaining approval from the Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets ("ACM") for their proposed merger. On May 18, 2021, the ACM determined that a license was required for the acquisition. This license was applied for on June 25, 2021.

During the second phase investigation prior to the license grant, the ACM will conduct further investigation into the impact of the acquisition on the market for the supply of ambulatory infusion pumps and the market for the supply of enteral nutrition to patients.

Mediq is an international supplier of medical products and healthcare solutions. Eurocept Homecare is also a provider of medical home care in the Netherlands and provides medical-specialist care in patients' homes in consultation with healthcare professionals. Excellent Clinics, with six branches in the Netherlands, provides complex wound healing and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
