Martijn van de Hel and Paul Breithaupt have successfully assisted Gilde Healthcare on its acquisition of Het Gastenhuis.
Gilde Healthcare is part of an investment group that invests primarily in the healthcare sector and in climate solutions. Het Gastenhuis operates in the healthcare sector and specialises in providing residential care homes and associated care services for older people with dementia. Het Gastenhuis has 37 locations across the Netherlands.
The acquisition was notified to the ACM on 9 July 2026. The transaction was approved on 24 July 2026 by the ACM. The acquisition has also been reviewed and approved by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa).
