Kim is an experienced lawyer with 20 years of litigation experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. As a specialist in administrative and healthcare law, she has a particular focus on complex regulation under European and Dutch law, supervision and enforcement.
She has an excellent track record with a wide range of regulatory issues/procedures regarding health products (such as medicines, medical devices and food supplements) as well as the quality, organisation and funding of healthcare. She gained this experience as a lawyer at Leijnse Artz and previously at the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate, the regulatory authority for healthcare quality.
Her arrival strengthens our capacity in the following areas:
- litigation practice: both in administrative law proceedings against various decisions by administrative bodies/regulators (such as the Dutch Healthcare Authority, Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority, Health and Youth Care Inspectorate and Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets) and in civil law proceedings against healthcare purchasers concerning, among other things, tariffs, funding and material controls;
- advisory practice: in the field of quality and organisation of healthcare, market authorisation and marketing of all kinds of health products, compliance and supervision and enforcement processes;
- transaction practice: when it comes to advice on transactions and due diligence processes in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
