Maverick Advocaten secures ACM approval for Fieten Olie and JH Energy Group’s acquisition of Reton

Fieten Olie operates in the market for the road distribution of motor fuels and the sale of lubricants to business customers (the so-called 'fuel supply business'). Fieten supplies customers throughout the Netherlands with a fleet of 32 tankers. Through its wholesale activities, Fieten serves a wide range of sectors and businesses, including: agricultural businesses, contracting firms, transport and logistics companies, contractors and construction firms, industrial companies, petrol stations and private individuals. In addition, Fieten operates petrol stations and, as such, acts as a retailer of motor fuels.

JH Energy Group (Jansen Holleboom) operates in the wholesale market for motor fuels. Jansen Holleboom supplies customers throughout the Netherlands with a fleet of 20 tankers. Through its wholesale activities, Jansen Holleboom serves a wide range of sectors and businesses, including: agricultural businesses, contractors, industrial parties, transport and logistics companies, the automotive sector, the shipping industry and petrol stations. Jansen Holleboom also operates petrol stations under the ‘OQ Value’ brand and, as such, is a retailer of motor fuels.

Reton is active in the road distribution of motor fuels and the sale of lubricants to business customers (fuel supply business). Reton supplies customers in the northern Netherlands with a fleet of five tankers. Through its fuel supply business, Reton serves a wide range of sectors and businesses, including: transport companies, contractors and infrastructure firms, agricultural businesses, automotive companies, industrial parties, public authorities, wholesalers and retailers. Reton also operates petrol stations under the ‘BP’ brand and, as such, acts as a retailer of motor fuels.

The acquisition was notified to the ACM on 6 January 2026. It was approved on 10 April 2026.
