Martijn van de Hel and Leah Peeters assisted the Stichting Dianet ("Dianet") in obtaining approval from the Dutch Healthcare Authority ("NZa") for the acquisition of the kidney dialysis department of the VUmc, part of Amsterdam UMC ("AUMC"). Dianet is active in the field of kidney function replacement therapies and offers various forms of dialysis, both on site as well as at the patient's home. AUMC is the second largest hospital in the Netherlands. The healthcare team at the VUmc location consisting of dialysis nurses, dialysis assistants, nutrition and ward assistants will transfer to Dianet.
The NZa granted approval for the acquisition on April 19, 2023.
