Diederik Schrijvershof and Leah Peeters successfully assisted Mediq in obtaining approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for the acquisition of Mathot.
Mediq is a supplier of medical devices and related services. The company supplies devices for the treatment of diabetes, respiratory therapy and medical nutrition, among other things. Mediq supplies both healthcare institutions and patients directly at home. Mathot is a supplier of aids for wound and compression care, therapeutic elastic stockings and stoma care. Both companies operate throughout the Netherlands. However, Mediq is also part of the Mediq Group, which also operates in other countries.
The acquisition was announced on 17 December 2024. The ACM approved the acquisition on 17 February 2025.
