Martijn van de Hel and Annabel Kingma have assisted Standard Investment in obtaining approval from the ACM for the acquisition of Staples Nederland B.V., Staples Belgium B.V. and Staples Luxembourg S.à r.l. ("Staples").
Standard Investment is an investment company with portfolio companies in several different sectors. The ACM previously approved Standard Investment's acquisition of New Office Centre Beheer B.V. ("NOCB"). New Office Centre Beheer B.V., now a portfolio company of Standard Investment, is a supplier of office supplies to small to medium B2B customers, freelancers, microenterprises and B2C customers. Staples is a provider of a wide range of office products and solutions to large B2B customers.
Standard Investment's acquisition of Staples was notified to the ACM on 2 July 2021. The ACM approved the acquisition on 20 July 2021.
