Martijn van de Hel and Adriaan Craita have assisted Eneco Zakelijk B.V. in obtaining approval from the ACM for the acquisition of Essent Energie Verkoop Nederland B.V. Eneco Zakelijk is a supplier of gas and electricity to end consumers and forms part of the Eneco Group.
Essent Energie Verkoop Nederland is a supplier of gas and electricity to business consumers. Earlier this year, the acquisition was widely discussed in the media.
The acquisition was notified to the ACM on 20 July 2021. The ACM approved the acquisition on 3 September 2021.
