Martijn van de Hel, Adriaan Craita and Saskia Stolk have successfully assisted ONE E-Commerce, as part of One Flora Group, and Plantify Partners Europe, as part of the Koninklijke Lemkes Groep (Royal Lemkes), in obtaining approval for a joint venture by the ACM. The new company will be called Fulfilment Plants.
ONE Flora Group operates as a wholesaler in the sale of flowers and, to a lesser extent, indoor and outdoor plants. In addition, ONE Flora Group sells related accessories such as plant pots.
Royal Lemkes is active in the sale of plants. It focuses mainly on (large) retailers. The plants are purchased from growers. Royal Lemkes then also organizes transport to the end customer. In addition, Royal Lemkes advises on the plant assortment and provides additional services, such as marketing and advice on sustainability and quality.
Fulfilment Plants will provide e-fulfilment services. In that context, e-fulfilment includes the packaging of ornamental plant products (indoor and outdoor plants, flowers and accessories). E-fulfilment also includes organizing transport to (online) retailers and end consumers. Fulfilment Plants will do this primarily for the benefit of online retailers throughout Europe who offer ornamental plant products (among other things) via their own webshops.
The intention to start a joint venture was notified to the ACM on March the 24th 2023 and approved by the ACM on April the 20th 2023.
