Cyriel Ruers and Judith Jansen wrote a column for ZuivelZicht in which they give ten tips on what to do in the event of an NVWA inspection and dawn raids. These are:
- Be prepared;
- Ask about the purpose of the investigation;
- Check whether the inspector is working according to the rules;
- Ask about the what, where and how of the investigation;
- Sampling? Ask for a second sample; Cooperate within reason;
- Opposing the NVWA? Ask for a decision;
- Ask for an extension of the deadline;
- When in doubt: consult a lawyer;
- End of investigation: legal measures.
The entire column can be read here.
