Although food safety is of paramount importance, sometimes recalls are carried out too quickly in the Netherlands, even when there is no actual risk to public health. This can lead to unnecessary food waste, high costs and reputational damage. Judith advocates paying more attention to the actual safety risks rather than simply following rules and procedures.
