Cyriel Ruers and Saskia Stolk have successfully assisted an investment fund in obtaining approval from the Bureau for Verification of Investments (BTI) under the Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions Security Screening Act (Vifo Act) for the acquisition of a Dutch company specializing in high-tech security equipment (TEMPEST).
The target company offers hardware protection to limit electromagnetic signals from small IT equipment such as laptops, printers, headsets, cables and servers.
On 12 September 2025, the investment was reported to the BTI in accordance with the reporting obligation and investment assessment under the Vifo Act. On 13 October 2025, the BTI announced that no assessment decision was required.
