
Marnix van Hemert is a lawyer specialising in Dutch and European competition law, state aid and public procurement law.
Marnix assists companies in obtaining approval for mergers, acquisitions or joint ventures from regulators such as the ACM, the NZa, the BTI or the European Commission. In addition, Marnix advises companies on the prohibition of cartels and the prohibition of abuse of a dominant position. Marnix has extensive experience in guiding companies through the tendering process, including advising on bids and litigating award decisions. He also advises companies on European state aid rules.
Marnix has been working at Maverick Advocaten since April 2026. Prior to that, he worked at another law firm, where he gained specific knowledge and experience in drafting Didam policy for public authorities and advising companies on Didam-related issues (scarce rights and licences).
Marnix is a member of the Competition Law Association and the Dutch Association for Public Procurement Law.
