Martijn van de Hel and Saskia Stolk have assisted an energy supplier in ending an investigation by the ACM on compliance with the Electricity and Gas Act.
Martijn van de Hel and Saskia Stolk have assisted an energy supplier in obtaining a commitment decision from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets ("ACM").
The reason for the investigation was that the energy supplier was behind in sending final and annual statements. Following the investigation by the ACM, the energy supplier has committed itself to putting its billing in order and to taking measures to guarantee payment of balances even after it leaves the Dutch market.
The ACM declared Qwint's commitments binding in a decision on 23 February 2024 and is monitoring compliance.
